Oliver Mshilla is the Coordinator of the Young Peacemakers Programme at IPHRD-Africa. He is currently undertaking a Masters degree in International Studies and holds a Bachelors degree in International studies with a major in International Security and Diplomacy. He has completed various Peace Support Operations courses including Protection of Civilian course, Human Rights and Peacekeeping Course and Protection of Internally displaced Persons and Refugees. He has a published a book on Enhancing Protection of Civilians in Peace Support Operations: Case of AMISOM. Before joining IPHRD-Africa, he worked with International Peace Support Training Center (IPSTC) under the Peace and Security Research department; Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHRC) and the Ministry of Interior and Coordination and National Government under the Refugee Affairs Secretariat. His interests are youth peace and security, conflict prevention, mediation, peacekeeping and human rights in Africa.
